@XGIMITech Hi, are you still shipping the pre-orders (ordered mid-September, in the US) starting October 15th?

I fully support Amazon's return to office call. There is way too many people in my Seattle uptown gym right now and something has to change.

@FilipGralinski Yeah, I was just curious because everyone is writing "imagine if the president does X", but usually presidents don't do anything by themselves. :)

1) I don't usually do politics here, but I am curious about that whole Supreme Court and immunity thing. One of the examples by the dissenting party is that the President could remove the head of the DOJ (official act) by poisoning him and remaining immune.

4) The risk of being the fall guy goes up quite a bit? But then again, there are pardons...

3) Doesn't that automatically mean, that as a member of that President's staff, I am now way more likely to face prosecution if I noncritically act on the President's behalf since the President's own inhibition to act criminally has gone down increasing the likelihood of a crime?

TIL about a guy who wanted to build a house up to 60 feet so he'd have a view of the river. The city told him the maximum height was 45 ft, so he first built a hill out of concrete and then built his house. The innovation and determination here almost mitigate the lack of taste.

@mjpost @zehavoc I'm not sure we arrived at 0 castles, but none of your examples were castles. Neither is this. Also, I know this is bait.

I assume that is supposed to "simulate" the original activity of cutting out coupons from magazines and such, but it's kinda wild.

OK. I thought cheques are the weirdest everyday-life thing in the US, but I just learned about "coupons". So, I have the Safeway app and apparently, I need to play a game where I find out what coupons exist and manually apply them instead of the app adding them automatically?

20 years in the EU and traveling at 160 km/h. Not quite a high speed train yet, but not bad for a somewhat secondary route... there's probably a metaphor here.

@tdomhan I think both explanation might work, the rebranding and the two different types. I am not a big pierogi fan so I didn't pay attention, but now I will.

Back in Poland for a few days and I am wondering if "Russian Mustard" (musztarda rosyjska) has been cancelled everywhere or am I imagining things? [It's not actually from Russia, it's just a name for a popular type of mustard which now seems to just not exist anymore?]

@mjpost TBF, I don't think it takes much to trigger anti-Russian sentiments in Poland. A full-blown invasion of your neighbor might do it :) According to the article, they did see falling sales, so it's not misplaced activism on the side of the producers but economic considerations.
