You know, I'm starting to think Keir Starmer should have attacked Nigel Farage, rather than attacked Zack Polanski. Why didn't he. @UKLabour

The Sun reports with zero evidence that the psychotic man who stabbed two people in Golders Green “regularly attended pro-Palestinian demos,” despite the fact that days prior he was still on indefinite hold in a secure psychiatric hospital. This was not an antisemitic attack.

@PolitlcsUK I think it’s a great idea, should also provide the Muslim community with one as one of his 3 victims were Muslim. If we could also get a special force for the Sikh community as they are also under attack-because unfortunately people see a brown person and assume they’re Muslims.

No, what is disgraceful is The Met Police and the Government leaving out key information about the suspect's first victim that day, A Muslim man from South London, because that would undermine the claim that this was an "anti-Semitic attack." Until a few hours ago, the media hadn't reported this and the Met Police and Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood withheld this information, because knowledge of this would undermine the governments narrative. It was an attack by an individual who recently left a psychiatric hospital run by South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust just days ago. He had a history of serious violence and mental health issues, who had been referred to 'Prevent' in 2020, and released later that year. If the person involved was already known to them, that's a serious issue in itself. It brings to light the systemic failures surrounding his case, and whether those failures are now being covered up. But as usual, British Muslims thrown to the dogs, exposed to backlash for something they're not even responsible for because details of one of the victims was left out on purpose, because he was a Muslim. This alone, totally dismantles the whole 'targeted attack on the Jewish community' narrative. The real disgrace is you Mr Prime Minister, for continuing to run with a narrative that has fallen apart at the seams before our eyes, and making a British party leader a target of verbal attacks because he dared say the quite part out loud, even though many of us were already saying it. The real disgrace are the officers that used excessive, unnecessary force, against a mentally ill individual, failed by the system, after he had been brought to the ground with a taser, but proceeded to kick him in the head and face and stamp on him even though he posed no immediate threat to them, resulting in a member of the public stepping in to retrieve the weapon he refused to drop, showing more professional than the police themselves. Something everyone should be concerned about is senior officers in the Met Police (MPS) accepting invitations to address an Israeli think tank linked to its government and intelligence service, Mossad, and commenting on content posted by the likes of Tommy Robinson. Disgraceful indeed.

@annaroseridgway Having a drink with your colleagues isn’t an issue, it’s the timing and the fact we’re paying for it. Go and have a drink after work. The entitlement is ridiculous. If you cannot get through the work day w/out drinking you should consider attending an AA meeting.

There is a strange and incorrect assumption that being an MP is an easy job. A day in parliament can often stretch to 12+ hours, god forbid they have a few drinks to discuss issues with colleagues! MPs have very stressful and demanding jobs. They should be compensated for this with perks and high pay.

@BarackObama “Reject the idea that violence has any place in our democracy”, didn’t the US bomb Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Somalia and Pakistan under your presidency? I don’t know, but that kinda sounds like violence.

Although we don’t yet have the details about the motives behind last night's shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner, it’s incumbent upon all us to reject the idea that violence has any place in our democracy. It’s also a sobering reminder of the courage and sacrifice that U.S. Secret Service Agents show every day. I’m grateful to them – and thankful that the agent who was shot is going to be okay.

Wow - Reform and every other party needs to change their stance on Israel. This is the main reason the Greens are picking up traction, as they are the ONLY party not afraid to call out Israel and suggest we withdraw our support/trade with them.

Just a reminder: in 1982, when Great Britain was attacked by Argentina, starting the Falklands War, the United States did not come to their aid because the Falklands are not in the North Atlantic and the British did not bitch about it. In 1956, when the French and British attacked Egypt, causing the Suez Crisis, despite the fact that France and Great Britain are in NATO, the United States not only refused to assist, but went to the United Nations to condemn them for attacking Egypt. In 2019, when Turkey decided to attack Syria, the Trump administration had the Pentagon send out an official notice that they did not support the campaign and would not send troops. So kindly shut the fuck up, everyone in the White House.

@ME_Observer_ Lebanon has suffered their most brutal night so far, it’s as if they are receiving punishment for the ceasefire deal made between the US and Iran. Iran and the US included Lebanon in that agreement, Israel is actively sabotaging the ceasefire.
