I know it’s become pretty cliche and cringey to talk about at this point but if you’re under like 25 I cannot stress enough how one time Obama wore a tan suit and people spent a week arguing over whether or not it was demeaning to the Oval Office and they were serious about it.

The Supreme Court has ruled that under UK law, trans people never had the rights people like you insisted they had. You misrepresented the law and cheered on the removal of women’s rights. Trans people have lost nothing except the mistaken belief you fostered.

The worst thing about being a heretic because you spoke up against gender ideology isn’t that your friends, family and colleagues distanced themselves from you or turned against you, it’s the awful feeling that people you knew for decades stayed silent when children, mostly autistic children, were groomed by trans activists, when same sex attracted people lost their rights and doctors “transed the gay away”and when the most vulnerable women, indigenous, aged and disabled women, were harmed by the removal of female only spaces and care. You know they agree with you that men are never women and gender ideology is toxic but they are selfish cowards. You realise you never really knew them at all. It undermines your faith in the decency of people and can make you hesitant to make new friends.
