But what satisfaction do you get from threatening to jail your mother-in-law or using your wife’s brother’s arrest as leverage? You married a teenager and now act surprised at the outcome. All these drug allegations are excuses. Let her go. Marriage is not by force. This child could be your granddaughter! You’re a senator nearing seventy, where is your sense of decency? “She’s a druggie, she’s this, she’s that”, Enough! Stop the excuses. Don’t deflect. She said she’s not interested in the marriage anymore. Let her go! Marriage is not a prison, and you’re not her father. She has one. You’re approaching 70! She could be your granddaughter.
