On this day in 2017, @emmayoule reported on @JasonEvansF8 legal case taken by @Collins_Law and evidence which wouldn't have existed were it not for the late great Frank Field. Frank campaigned over decades on the Infected Blood Scandal. The amazing @cazjwheeler helped us to highlight the document mentioned in this article during her time at @Daily_Express (Check her on @BBCNewsnight last night on #ContaminatedBlood too!) - express.co.uk/news/uk/810179… The @DHSCgovuk had told @DianaJohnsonMP they didn't have the document but we found it in @UkNatArchives. Months later, this legal case went on to become a group litigation and @Collins_Law now have over 1,500 clients impacted by the infected blood scandal. What happens with that group litigation very much depends on how @cabinetofficeuk respond to @bloodinquiry compensation recommendations. Infected Blood Inquiry publishes its final report on Monday 20th May.
