I'm always very skeptical about anyone who thinks their concepts transcend space-time. Systems that rely on a view of what intuition and reason possess epistemic access to the "really-real" that transcends the conditions of space-time are foolish ones in my view.

@PhilBeadle Experience of marginalisation from mainstream education and speed run them to exclusion. I'd also be fascinated to see some work on students attitudes towards education itself. It seems some staff feel it discourages an interest in learning and may reduce their holistic abilities

@PhilBeadle I found it interesting talking to people involved in theae programs at their schools that low level disruption seemed to reduce, but extremis behaviour dramatically increased. There's something to be said for considering how these more high control approaches increase students

According to her, she's got a PhD in psychology, but she's out there debunking the reality of psychiatric disorders. Seriously, that's like Elon Musk declaring electric cars a figment of our imagination.
If psychiatric disorders are a myth, then what was the point of sinking 4-6 years into studying them for your PhD?
Whether it's sheer naivety or intentional mischief, I can't say, but some British psychologists are among the most fervent anti-psychiatry crusaders I’ve ever encountered. @jonathanstea

@kopopoulous @lgbtcooperators @UKLabour In the UK you cannot access gender affirming surgery under 18 years old. The only result of these anti-trans policies so far been increased child suicide, which was clearly indicated by actual experts would happen. Please stop pretending this was ever about protecting children.

We agree when the @UKLabour manifesto says we will remove indignities for trans people. That includes ensuring they get the correct medical care as recommended by a professional with expertise in the field.
