Autism opinion: A lot of autistic people don't actually miss social cues. We notice everything. Every shift in someone's voice. Every tiny eyebrow move. Every change in the room. The hard part is figuring out which signal actually matters while your brain is busy analysing all of them at once. If that's you, you're not broken. Your mind is just trying to protect you by paying attention to everything at the same time.

+ the problem with neuropsychological evaluations is that they have an incredibly high rate of false positives if administered without clinical evidence

@GasandElectric6 @cavesofsteel They’re not faking it they believe it whole heartedly they’re just wrong. There’s overlapping symptoms of many mental disorders or cognative disorders. And a lot of times it’s people with trauma or personality disorders who are wrongly diagnosing as autistic.
