@TweetsbyHenry So one documentary made you believe that every girl traveling to dubai is doing this, does that make you feel better? Thats not even 1% of the Ugandan girls working there.

@erich_mboowa @RunakoCelina The documentary was good, but lacked facts that we don’t want to admit, 99% of these girls know what they are getting into and very many get normal jobs then leave them to join this, they are telling lies to paint the picture but all of them are briefed and willing comply.

The BBC team really takes time whenever they are working on an investigative story. Let's take time to appreciate @RunakoCelina for the job well done. She is the reporter behind the "Death in Dubai" documentary. Thank you Celina🤝

It's absolutely horrifying that our sisters are being targeted by such malicious individuals. These young girls are likely unaware of the dangers they face. The @GovUganda must take this matter seriously, conduct a thorough investigation, and take decisive action against the networks that exploit our sisters for prostitution in Dubai. @UgandaMFA @Parliament_Ug

Charles Mwesigwa is a senior pimp in Dubai. He has a network of guys in Uganda who scout around for the type of girls he wants. Once they get them, the Ugandan pimps secure passports for the girls who are later flown to Dubai. Upon arrival, they are taken to different malls to buy clothes that would make them attractive to Mwewigwa's clients. Mwesigwa will then take their photos, which he shows to potential clients to help them choose the type of girl they are looking for. The girls who are running away from unemployment in Uganda, become prostitutes who are ordered and delivered online to clients ready to exploit them in every possible manner. Mwesigwa won't escape the tough laws in Dubai.

@UG_Airlines You give yourselves those awards, there is no way your service can get an award, unless the people giving the awards don’t use any other airline.

@pwatchug Nothing I hate more than this nonsense of national prayer, like when has that ever solved anything for the country, why do we always keep on these things of masquerading behind religion as corruption eats away our country bit by bit.

WATCH: The Kira Municipality MP, Ibrahim Ssemujju has accused David Bahati, Minister of State for Industries for misleading Parliament, following his request asking all Ugandans to join Government for the National Prayer breakfast at State House, slated for 8th October 2025, saying the law only recognises President Museveni as occupant of State House and even when NRM MPs go there to hold meetings, they do it illegally. Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among however deferred from Ssemujju, saying State House is open to the public, which explains why, she has met Ssemujju several times at State House. Although Ssemujju confirmed that he has been at State House several times, he said he only went to State House while practicing journalism, and he hasn’t been there since he joined politics.

Why would anyone blame Shamim Malende? It is public and common knowledge that only a Man can marry a woman working at a gas station and he is a prime minister. No female prime minister can get married to a man working at a gas station, which isn't bad, it is called EVOLUTION. That is why, it is very hard for a woman who grows so fast in terms of success to sustain a marriage, unless the man is also growing very fast in terms of success. If your wife is growing career-wise, support her but you should also make sure you do the same. That is why it is best to get a wife that you share career passions/growth passions. If you prefer remaining the same, staying lowkey and you get a career woman, in a blink she will be so successful to be your wife. It is okay for; 1. A career man to marry a career woman. 2. A career man to marry a lowkey stay home woman. 3. An ambitious man to marry a stay home woman or ambitious woman. It is suicidal for a lowkey, a non-aciever man to marry an ambitious or career focused woman. These are facts. Never forget this: Women are only loyal to their emotions, it is never about what you give her but how you make her feel. That is why some men complain that women do not appreciate, they do but only appreciate emotions. So, saying I did this and that for her can't sale. How did you make her feel? Also how do you make her feel at the moment? Learn or Perish.

UPDATE: Uganda has signed an offtake agreement with Burundian firm Itracom Fertilizer Ltd to establish a $180 million (Shs638 billion) fertiliser factory in Kampiringisa. The plant will produce 350,000 metric tonnes annually, using cow dung from local farmers. Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja said the project will save Uganda $300 million (Shs1 trillion) in annual fertiliser imports and lower prices for farmers. The company will supply 250,000 metric tonnes to the Ugandan market. #MonitorUpdates 📹: @BuseinSamilu

Yvonne Mpambara@__Mpambara·
Ladies, gentlemen, ALL Ugandans in the country and in the diaspora, my name is Yvonne Mpambara and I am running for Presidency of the Republic of Uganda 2026 - 2031. My Candidacy is a bold step towards National Renewal and Healing, Justice and Prosperity for All. Uganda’s leadership must Shift Hands and Power must return to the People - whether through Elections or People led Political Pressure and Social Movements. Leadership must represent All Women and Youth, Persons With Disabilities, veterans, Feminists, Farmers, Boda Boda riders, our Creatives, Sex Workers, Gig Economists, Medics and All Workers Living Hand to Mouth and Paycheck to Paycheck. It must center us so called “Bumless women with big stomachs,” Us who are tortured and detained for speaking truth to power, Us who cannot walk into a bank and get a loan, Us whose Candidacy will not use 7.5 billion of tax payers money to hold loud empty rallies and bribe Ugandans with soap to participate in empty political gimmicks. Dear Ugandans, we have to #ShiftThePower and challenge Uganda’s Political Culture and end this old game of politics. Signed, Madam President 2026

.@Winnie_Byanyima: The letter on Nakivubo Channel may look like a small administrative issue. But it is emblematic of something larger. When a nation’s future depends not on transparent processes but on the President’s personal approval of “godly” proposals, democracy weakens and corruption flourishes tinyurl.com/3skuba67 #MonitorUpdates
