when I was a kid, adults worked really hard to make sure I could identify reliable sources of information. they made a big deal about not citing wikipedia etc. but they didn't drive home that a lot of the people talking about politics are just mentally ill and you shouldn't listen to anything they say.
the older I've gotten, the more I've seen people I know get depressed and then start talking like this. they blame their mental state on the state of the world, but the causation clearly goes the other way.

As I said before, we watched white Canadians call a Black Torontonian all types of monkeys and "why is she talking like that .." because of her accent. Two twos is used incorrectly, the language Black Toronto created is not a joke. & Many until this day, are penalized and ostracized for the way they speak. There's cultural relevancy, and a deep racist and classist history that Gen Z & Alpha Canadians/Torontonians refuse to learn about & then do this shit - who the fuck is Adam DiMarco?
