I just wrote a short film script... ...in the space of time it takes to drink two americanos. 1- Typed up a simple list of shots (caffeine-aided) 2- Asked ChatGPT to interview me on my creative intentions 3- Pasted in the shot list and asked it to format as 'Fountain' 4- Pasted the result into Slugline 5- Clicked 'Print' An 8-page short script is now on my desk. I'm thinking of all the script ideas I've had that never even made it to first draft stage, and then thinking of how easy this morning was. It's still a first draft, so not perfect. But now I can do the real work and fix it up.

A huge amount of success boils down to having a high tolerance for feeling stupid. If you're not regularly uncomfortable, you're likely just coasting.

Over the past few years I've built a series of tiny projects: 🥷🏼 A course to help creatives to go freelance 🎨 A tool to help manage brand style guides ✏️ A database of freelance copywriters 🧒🏼 A prompt generator for kids' drawings ☎️ A consulting service for stuck startup founders ...all of which are currently gathering dust. Today, I've decided to burn it all down and start again. It feels like we're at a genuine turning point in terms of what creativity looks like. But I don't need to tell YOU that. LinkedIn content is now almost entirely 100% scaremongering bullshit on this one topic. I don't intend to heap more shit on the shit heap. But I do have a shovel and I will be shovelling something.
