Am I the only one that thinks not signing a striker would be insane? Isak can’t be relied upon to play every 3 days. Eki is unavailable and if we don’t sign another 9, Gakpo will end up starting up top for most of the season Lewandowski on a free makes so much sense, especially if we’re going to blow most of the budget on wingers and midfielders.

Let me explain: Slot must develop tactics to prevent attacks—with the players he has available—and he has failed in that area, and it's his responsibility. But he can't increase the speed or defensive IQ of those players.

Saw this comment on YouTube under an Anfield Wrap video. Could not have worded it better, Victor. There are clear coaching & structural problems. Those are the concerning aspects. New players won't fix that. Will there be mitigation next season if it isn't working in November?

@Gavstar79 @naveedciao @AnfieldWatch Different profiles: Macca is a B2B, but it's not as fast as it used to be. Its best replacement would be Camara. Wharton is a CDM but one who generates verticality and key passes from the first third of the field, something lost with TAA departure. Sangare would be "pure" CDM.
