@SonOfKisumu @kenyanpundit Projects take a very long time. Do you remeber when Raila was talking of Dongo Kundu in the first Kibaki government and when it was finally done?

@kenyanpundit That Maseno to Kombewa road is very painful to watch. I have even tried drawing the attention of Governor Ny'ongo to it & funny enough, the road serves him too. That's one of the busiest roads; yet in a very pathetic state. And someone tells me we are on broad based government.

Imagine waking up as Ruto. You sit down for breakfast, only to be briefed that Rigathi Gachagua is holding a massive rally in Nairobi’s CBD. By lunchtime, just as you attempt a quiet moment, intelligence reports land on your desk. One of your key political point persons in Nyanza, Gladys Wanga, has been heckled in Kisumu. Youths there are chanting @HEBabuOwino’s name. Before the afternoon tea settles, another update arrives. Kakamega is electric! The chant of the moment is “Sisi ndio Sifuna,” ahead of Saturday’s mega rally. Guy has no choice but to call Kanja, and with a frustrated voice give one order… “Zima hao watu. Tear gas all of them”.

@mohammedhersi Are Kenyans simply incapable of debating objectively. What offends someone in the truth stated above ama it is because some of us really believe these thieves are different.

The day I realized that some Kenyans have a problem with William Ruto because of corruption but do not have any problem with a corrupt opposition funded by a corrupt former president I concluded this is not a fight for change its just tribalism. I don’t want to be part of a cycle and circle of tribalism of replacing garbage with garbage. Your dishonesty stinks.

⚫️ What Needs to Change The solution isn't complicated, though it may be difficult for egos to accept. These former players need to acknowledge that the media landscape bears no resemblance to the one they navigated, recognise that Ferguson's media management gave them massive advantages, apply consistent standards across all clubs rather than singling out United, offer solutions instead of just criticism, and either support the club directly or recognise that television punditry doesn't constitute helping. The most frustrating aspect is that Keane, Scholes, Neville, and Butt possess the intelligence and experience to understand all of this. They've seen elite sport from every angle. They know the pressures of performing at the highest level. They understand how marginal gains in psychology can impact performance. Yet when it comes to their former club, they retreat into simplistic takes that ignore obvious realities. Perhaps acknowledging the modern environment's unprecedented intensity would require acknowledging that their generation had advantages current players lack. Perhaps it would require admitting that the "we handled it fine" narrative isn't the full story. Until that acknowledgment comes, Manchester United remains trapped between an idealised version of its glory years and a constantly criticised present. Current players face not just the normal pressures of elite football, but also the additional burden of being told by their own legends that acknowledging those pressures constitutes weakness. That's not demanding high standards. That's actively undermining the conditions necessary for success. And ironically, it represents exactly the kind of excuse-making mentality these former players claim to despise, except their excuses are for their own behaviour, not their performances. Roy Keane recently said Ferguson and Gill were "hanging around the club like a bad smell." The truth is it's Keane himself, along with Scholes and others, who've become the lingering bad smell, not at the club, but in the media ecosystem around it, poisoning the atmosphere with bitterness disguised as standards. Manchester United deserves better from its legends. More importantly, the current players who are trying to restore this club to glory under unprecedented scrutiny deserve better. They deserve support, or at minimum, constructive criticism rooted in reality rather than ego protection and nostalgia. Until United's former players recognise this, they'll continue being part of the problem they claim to be criticising. And that might be the saddest legacy of all. Thank you for taking the time to read this thread. As Always, please feel free to share your own thoughts in the comments below 🇾🇪 5/5

🇾🇪 Bitterness Disguised as Standards: How United's Legends Lost Their Way 🧵   Manchester United's challenges extend far beyond the pitch. While tactical debates and squad rebuilding dominate headlines, another problem festers in the background: former players whose commentary has devolved from constructive criticism into something far more destructive. Roy Keane's recent outburst about Manchester United's coaching appointments epitomises this troubling trend. His dismissive comments about Jonny Evans joining the coaching staff revealed more about Keane himself than about United's decision-making. "Evans was at United 4-5 weeks ago as a loans manager, and then Fletcher gives him the job," Keane sneered. "He has two games, Fletcher goes and then Carrick gives him a job. Great isn't it? We should all go to Barbados for a week." The irony is staggering. Keane himself transitioned into management at Sunderland with zero coaching experience. Yet when Evans, a player who spent two seasons with the current squad and possesses intimate knowledge of these players, receives a coaching role, Keane treats it as a farce. His mockery extended beyond Evans. He ridiculed Fletcher ("he knows the guy in the canteen, he rings Ferguson up to ask what socks he's going to wear") and even took aim at Carrick's wife: "His wife has a big mouth sometimes. Maybe she's doing team-talks." This isn't punditry. It’s playground bullying dressed up as analysis. 1/5 #MUFC #ManchesterUnited #Keane #Scholes

Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt are actually embarrassing man. Could’ve come out, apologised, and held their hands up that they got it wrong over Martinez. Instead, they’ve thrown their toys out the pram. Some of these ‘legends’ really don’t want the best for this club.

The sale of 715 Telkom Communication Towers, Public Assets, to American Tower Company (ATC) in 2018 ranks high as is one of the most idiotic decisions ever made. ATC bought these 715 Towers for Shs 24Billion. The very next year, Safaricom pays Shs 11B Annually for Leasing ( see previous Post) from its annual statements, main cost being lease of Towers. First of all there is nothing in a Tower. Just pieces of Steel with no maintenance. The Towers that were installed in 1955 getting Power from Own Falls Jinja to Kenya are still there with zero maintanance. The Telecom Towers have just a Standby Generator, Batteries. So the maintenance is just cutting grass, topping up Battery Electrolyte, starting the Generator just to see it can run. Common things The Technical items are repeaters which are NOT part of ATC but belong to the Telecom Companies like Safaricom, AirTel etc. So, did we need something called American Tower Company to come and manage PASSIVE things like Towers. Now these are the incomes (again from Business Daily in earlier Post) in the years: (most likely Safaricom + Airtel rentals) 2020 Shs 15.5 B 2021 Shs 17.1B 2022. Shs 19.6 B This is crazy. It means ATC recovered their 24B Investment in less than 2 years!! Even Business Daily say: Kenya is one of the biggest markets for American Tower Company??? What market? They don't manufacture anything. Whatever ATC are buying, Kenyans can buy from the same place. This is worse than Talanta, Africa50, Adani. Because Kenya is exporting its own Forex Shs 20 Billion EVERY YEAR FOR LIFE. So far Shs 120B for nothing. And here, the CEO is lamenting about 'losing on the exchange rate'. I suspect this deal was done by non-Technical people in Govt., Economists, Procurement. Told that they 'upgrade due to Technological changes' !?!? Is this not illiteracy in Industrial Scale? Could these be one of John Ngumi's dealmaking he was bragging about?? KPLC and KETRACO between them have more than 3,000 Towers. I won't be surprised if heard ATC is now buying under ' Privatisation'. The same crazy thing about Kenya Pipeline Privatisation. It is this kind of idiocy that defines 3rd World Countries. If you check ATC website, you won't find them in India, China, Germany.

@OundoMudenyo Victims of Post election violence were selectively compensated by Government. Criminal culpability has not been proven to date. We all know where the most culpable are my friend.

There could be no legal framework for compensation until criminal culpability is proven...it is just another circus!
Dick Ndiewo@engndiewo

@OundoMudenyo The people who killed Baby Pendo were finally sentenced I think this year after killing in 2017. So they start civil proceedings another 8 years. Why not give the Ruto scheme a chance people get compensated nothing stops the criminal proceedings being done any time
