The 2023 @ICWSM Adamic-Glance Young Distinguished Award went to Diyi Yang (@Diyi_Yang) for "novel theoretical work in computational social roles and wide-range contributions in incorporating social awareness  into natural language technologies for social impact." Congrats Diyi!

We were so lucky that Jo Lukito (@JosephineLukito), Saiph Savage (@saiphcita) and Kiran Garimella (@gvrkiran) joined us in person at #TTO22 today to share their impactful research on global disinfo. They exemplify the kind of researchers who give back to communities they study.

Greatly enjoying the talk by @ioanamanol, who connected the need for fact-checking statistics to both Descartes and Chaptal! #TTOConf2022 Her work is an example of a successful collaboration between data scientist and journalists.

Earlier today, @JosephineLukito, an assistant professor at @UTAustin, led a very collaborative workshop for participants of #TTOCON2022, identifying and discussing topics on which more research is needed. Thank you to all who attended!

I can't believe I'm saying it, but I'm graduating this spring and looking for postdoc/research scientist (maybe prof???) positions. My work centers on critical AI, AI justice, participatory methods, and 3D vision. Would love to find a great group to do radical work with!

Very proud of my @Wellesley students for successfully completing the Science Center Summer Research program that culminated with a poster session for sharing their work. The colorful Wellesley Cred Lab t-shirts was their design.

Excited to share that I am starting law school at Stanford next month. My dissertation work on online election information, algorithmic auditing, and platform governance will continue on (at 1/2 speed). If there are cool people I should meet sooner rather than later, please lmk!
