What are use cases for very small LLMs, e.g. 3B or 7B parameters? My experience is that they struggle to understand instructions. What can you do with them?

@AnnaGorisch No, no one’s time is free. Also, in perspective a single consultation fee is minimal compared to the overall amount spent for the whole process

Mhh, yo conozco varias personas que llevan literal años con la TN allá, si, se que no es posible pasar a una Green Card, pero también depende de que quieres. Y tambén sirve conocer un abogado de inmigración. Y ojo, al tener mejor esa red es infinitamente mas facil conseguir otro empleador que quizas si pueda sponsorear una HB

Recordemos que es infinitamente más fácil para un mexicano programador emigrar a USA con una Visa TN que a un Hindú con la HB. El hecho de que no hayamos inundado el mercado con mexicanos programadores habla del fracaso de la educación en México. Nota: el hindú promedio habla inglés infinitamente mejor que el mexicano promedio.

@GergelyOrosz I see it as pretty much any developer whose AI work is basically calling pick-your-favorite AI API SaaS. Whereas those who’s work is closer to training bespoke models, data curation, etc have titles closer to ML engineer/researcher

This question comes as someone asked me how they become an AI engineer, besides learning to integrate LLM tools, learn basic stuff like RAG etc. And I was thinking... well, that's it, for most "AI engineers", no? Integrate the new tools & use them to build.

What is "AI engineering?" I'm being serious with this question. The more I research about it, the more confused I am. (mostly see software engineers integrating LLMs referring themselves to this.)

If the US is serious about winning the war for talent, @USCIS needs to create a visa allowing spouses to work. Surviving on one salary while doing important work is tough. Not having a timeline for your spouse to work is a major strain on the relationship, affecting work.
