@chatswithem So we can be dependent on foreign fossil fuels and price spikes? No thanks.

@Markone957795 @Artemisfornow Even if temperatures aren't really increasing at a faster rate than at any time excluding cataclysmic environmental events and the climate isn't warming during a period in which it should be cooling, why wouldn't you want less pollution?

Mad Ed has decided against drilling our own fields, regardless of the facts. Instead his plan is to double down on insecure renewables. This includes faster roll out of solar & wind on public land …, AND an extra tax on energy generators. (Ye all you businesses, farmers and preppers, how dare you have energy backup) And soon Mad Ed may be Prime Minister. Not even joking 🤡

@A_saxonsage @Artemisfornow The UK hasn't fed itself in 200 years. Triple the amount of land is buried under bitumen for car parks than will be covered by solar farms. When the fuck have you ever complained about parking your sloth mobile on prime farm land? Never.

@A_saxonsage @Artemisfornow You've not even read the national energy strategy, have you? They are ten moves ahead of you. You're still worrying about intermittency, a 2010 problem. To drain the UK of fossil fuels all you need is a naval blockade. Fossil fuels deliver us zero energy security.

@Anoyouknow @Artemisfornow What's common sense about relying on foreign fossil fuel imports over which you have zero control or influence on price? What's common sense of covering almost all the external costs of those fossil fuels with your taxes?

@Weknowwhatyour2 @Artemisfornow You burn fuels, make your streets stink, poison the air your children breathe, force us to swallow high energy prices ... And then have the cheek to ask for a tax holiday so you can keep driving.

@BenGrahamUK The energy crisis is due to fossil fuels. He's trying to move us off fossil fuels. It seems very sensible.

Why does Ed Miliband keep pushing a climate “crisis” narrative when UK households are facing an energy crisis right now? We were warned decades ago that parts of the world would already be underwater, such as Bangladesh. That hasn’t materialised as predicted. Meanwhile, Britain has some of the highest energy costs in Europe, driven by a mix of policy choices, reliance on intermittent renewables, and dependence on imported energy. The priority should be clear: affordable, reliable energy for British households.

@TomEast787 @KathyConWom @Keir_Starmer @Ed_Miliband Fossil fuels need tax breaks, the taxpayer to cover the cost of the clean up post production, the taxpayer to cover the environmental costs, the taxpayer to cover the health costs, the taxpayer to bail out consumers when prices get too high & the FF coys report record profits.

@entitlement4all @KathyConWom @Keir_Starmer @Ed_Miliband Windmills have to be subsidised throughout their 10-15 year life span, cannot be recycled when they’re finished & cost a fortune to maintain, especially offshore. The inconvenient truth is they cost way more environmentally & economically than we are being told.

@StreakyAgain @SunTzu544b @jonburkeUK And they are delivering much more capacity than that via renewables. They are doing that now. They are accelerating that roll out. Your 150 reactors will deliver just 10% of Chinese capacity. That's 200GW by 2035. By 2035 they'll have 3,600 GW of solar and wind.

@entitlement4all @SunTzu544b @jonburkeUK They're building 150-200 new reactors within the next 10 years. You don't do that if wind and solar is winning, you do it if wind and solar have disastrous consequences.

Britain’s clean, secure energy success story is being noticed across the world! 🇬🇧⚡️♻️ For the first time in decades, we’re a leader not a follower, yet all Farage, Badenoch, the Daily Telegraph, & the rest of Britain’s right wingers do is talk the country down.

@TomEast787 @KathyConWom @Keir_Starmer @Ed_Miliband Windmills offset their environmental impact in less than 2 years. Gas and oil never will. We are using and extracting gas and oil. It remains part of the strategic energy plan through to 2050. You've already spanked your gas and oil wealth away. All those tax cuts you "earned".

@entitlement4all @KathyConWom @Keir_Starmer @Ed_Miliband You mean the same rigorous environmental impact assessments that were done for on/offshore wind farms & solar? We need gas & oil. We have gas & oil. We can use it to create an economy that can transition to cleaner energy as Norway has. Instead we have the worst of both worlds.

@entitlement4all @KathyConWom @Keir_Starmer @Ed_Miliband Extraction costs are high because the industry is hamstrung by the government imposing ridiculous restrictions & prohibitive taxes. We don’t need tin, we need oil & gas. It is there for the taking & would be cost effective if the government had the will to get it.

🚨Starmer pushes forward with EU single market alignment Despite having no mandate, he wants to write the Brexit deal to make Britain align with the EU’s Single Market for goods. Any agreement would force British manufacturers to follow hundreds of rules set in Brussels, without a single say on how those rules are shaped… This is a corrupt, useless, duplicitous government wreaking serious havoc. This is an tyrant spitting in the face of democracy and the British people.
