@Stopworkplacebu In academia, some have an image to protect. It's an environment of fierce competition, "success" and egos. Bad actors only chase the next big PR mention, or sexy results, and they do "show science." They feel they can't afford the time to spend doing careful science.

Scared of my neighbors; scared of my country; scared for the future; scared for my children.

@simon_schama I think b/c the Dem party was maligned for so long without push back. People became afraid to vote for Dem candidates. Homes were divided by upbringing and news sources. It was disconcerting to be out of sync like that at gatherings if you married into different viewpoints.

I know I know but it just beggars belief that this leaking sack of gibberish could be President elect this time next week and come next January have the nuclear codes. What kind of country can come close to that ?

Sometimes when people can't get what they want from you they cut you off, spread lies about you and recruit others to hate you. Has this happened to you?

@karenmitchell__ I don't doubt my assessment of them, but the problem is getting other people to understand the next level cruelty and vindictiveness.

One of the reasons narcissists/psychopaths are so dangerous, is that they are willing to go to the next level re: disadvantaging, demeaning, humiliating, provoking, manipulating others. Even if you suspect their ‘darkness’, you will doubt yourself. No one is that bad, surely!
