I do have one issue with the SFA statement. They appear to believe that, because the game clock shows 53.07 (98.07) at conclusion, Celtic v Hearts was fully played out, no premature ending. But Callum Osmand’s goal was scored at 52.30 (97.30) and was immediately followed by fans on the pitch. So this SFA claim doesn’t make sense. The outcome of the match was not in doubt but the SFA can hardly claim that “more than the minimum additional time of eight minutes” were added. Not unless they mean that both teams could actually have played on with fans on the field.

Confirmation game abandoned due to pitch invasion. The only reason hearts wanted their players off the pitch. Stating the clock doesn’t stop when a goal is scored is absolute nonsense also, time is always added when the ball isn’t in play. Hopefully this is taken further

I might be missing something here, but this whole "did he, didn't he" debate about how the game ended on Saturday could all be settled very easily. All the SFA need to do is release the audio which, even in the bedlam going on around it, will capture the referees whistle being blown. The SPFL say he told them it had ended, so it's very easy to prove that. This tiresome debate is going to go on forever until they do. I'm surprised it's not been released already tbqh.
