Is anyone else genuinely concerned at how prudish and puritanical everyone has seemingly become? Every other argument about a movie/Show being bad these days is because it had a sex scene or some nudity and it's like my brother in christ you're in your 20's why are you like this?

@zundamotisuki Pacific northwest(Oregon, Washington, northern Cali) are all beyond gorgeous if you are looking for nature. Chicago is amazing if you are a foodie. New Orleans during Jazz Fest is to die for. Visiting the US is fun but it’s a good idea to plan for a type of visit

@pineapplenotane @SWAGLABCBD1 3. It keeps a drug that is commonly used from being a weapon against the poor. Where weed, and let’s be real, other drugs have been illegal, the rich can use them without consequence. Poorer citizens are turned into slaves in jail for simply engaging in a recreational drug.

The merit is 3 main things:
1. People who choose weed a recreational substance get a healthier and safer alternative to alcohol.
2. It creates jobs for many people.

@pineapplenotane @SWAGLABCBD1 American here where it is legal, it actually does have benefit to society and is much less addictive and harmful than alcohol. It went from a really big deal when I was a kid, to literally something nobody cares about and is just seen as a fun recreational consumable

My main point then is that- there is an entire class of jobs that collectively are maintained to be low pay and benefit the business owners far more than is fair. We as a society shouldn’t approve of that, it isn’t just on individuals, but the collective to make a change.

@epic_always @fromdusktildawn Welp, we have unions if you don't have enough personal value to argue for yourself. As well as the tried and true lateral move to a new company. You have options. They just require you to act instead of pretending to be a "victim" without any agency.

If they are being underpaid, they signed a bad contract. the solution is not to punish the business owner ya vengeful idiot.

@fromdusktildawn Redistribution is theft. It has to come with a real incentive to make it voluntary instead of by force. Lots of corruption comes from wealth distribution and social programs that make everything worse.

@fromdusktildawn The rich own a majority of the politicians, they are backed by the police and military, and even politicians are allowed to make money off the stock market going up at the expense of the working man. We don’t really have many options outside of socialist revolution.
