Which is not to say that I dislike or disrespect cDc. Those old textfiles made the world a better place. Respect for y'all's past achievements, but we don't get to sit on our laurels or avoid recognizing that we have power and a responsibility to use it justly, now.

It's more like finding out that bernie was in Skull&Bones tbh. The ongoing refusal among tech to recognize that we have power now is getting ridiculous.

the basic problem with both programmers and economists is not simply that their models are wrong or unfair (although they often are) instead, it's that they have /power/ to force people to conform to those models

Interesting that some people seem think that the UK can "just" delay Brexit (depending on today's/tomorrow's vote) they can not, they can only request a delay to the EU-27, the EU-27 have to approve the request, unanimously....#Brexit

@dantoml I've never gotten a pleasant hotel in zurich for under 150eur/night. Even the super cheap chains are like 90EUR. My friends splurged on the 25hour langstrasse and it seemed nice enough, tho expensive for what you get compared to elsewhere.

@dantoml Depending on where in Amsterdam but it's mostly pretty easy and cheap for good accomodations. I stayed at Manor Amsterdam in oostpoort and it was lovely (only like 80EUR right now too). There's lots of twee hotels in haarlem, never really had a bad time. Zurich otoh :( :(
