@SeleneA92651315 @KarlTurnerMP Mine was 7 weeks and it was the GP wanting to see me. I only have stage 4 cancer so I guess any issue could rectify itself one way or another in 7 weeks.

@KarlTurnerMP I made an appointment via an online triage system they are trialling. Three weeks to see a GP. I don't see that as easy.

@LawyerYouKnow Really looking forward to this! I watched the trial and got the overwhelming sense that Faust stood no chance. It seemed rigged from the start and the defence had their hands tied behind their backs. Well done Peter- justice needs this kind of scrutiny.

If you watched this trial live, we want to hear your take too! If this case is new to you, watch it for the first time with us too — we’ll be diving into the details, the drama, and the decisions that made this trial one people still can’t stop discussing today.

@MrsGeek22 @Poppy_yyyyyyyy Try having a serious illness and see how it goes. I have stage 4 cancer, had to wait 7 weeks for a face to face appointment for the GP to change a medication ordered by letter from my oncologist.

@Poppy_yyyyyyyy It's soo bad. They wanted my son to take a full day off school during exams to wait on a triage call for a fungal nail infection. We can't get basics health care like prescriptions, without it being a performance.

I’ve spent the day enjoying the services of our wonderful NHS, just to be hung up on by a receptionist who relished in telling me they wouldn’t prescribe the medication they’ve given me regularly for several years. This was after an appointment with a medical student (I was told it would be a GP) that was an hour later than the time I was told to be there and he wanted me to stay there for an indefinite time to see an actual GP face to face. I ended up crying tears of frustration so they told me to phone the Samaritans. I don’t want to phone the Samaritans, I just want my very easily prescribed medication.

@politixintheuk Keep focus on the cost of living? When are you going to start? I have no idea what you are focusing on but it isn’t the cost of living.

@Davidbi14014500 @SueJonesSays I don’t get PIP but am on UC I pay full rent, full council tax and pay for a dentist. I do get free prescriptions as I ‘only’ have stage 4 cancer and all cancer patients get free prescriptions- working or not. You clearly do not have a clue what really happens do you?

@PaulFosterMP Are you not ashamed of the half hearted efforts the HoC did to produce such a flawed, dangerous and reckless bill? Far from filibustering, the HoL had to clear up the absolute mess your party landed them with. Who’s fault is that?

The Assisted Dying Bill will be scrapped is next week, despite the will of the elected House of Commons. Because of filibustering by a small number of peers in the unelected House of Lords, the bill will fall at the end of this session when Parliament is prorogued. For me, this is not what democracy should look like. I spoke to the @ObserverUK about why I would bring it back, despite having opposed it: observer.co.uk/news/politics/…

@Lara1273 @LabourRoyall Did I say the supporters of AD are lacking intelligence? No, I did not- you did. I said the creators of the bill lacked intelligence. In producing a bill that was so flawed and needed so much scrutiny and so many amendments doomed them to failure.

@erasmus_hazel @LabourRoyall Disagreeing with a bill is one thing—suggesting those who support it lack intelligence is another. Many thoughtful, informed people support assisted dying. It deserves a serious argument, not insults.

@RHughesPhD76721 Have ordered 2, as I do with all your books. One for me and one for the chemo unit at my local hospital. Amazon has excelled its self by releasing in the UK at the same time as USA - we are usually a little behind.

I am overwhelmed...its like Christmas and my birthday and a day of Russell leaving me alone all in one big happy moment....the first hour of sales has been phenomenal. I can't thank you all enough. It went on sale four hours earlier as I was sent an email and then another one as there were people searching for it evidently in other countries in earlier time zones so Amazon went ahead and let the cat out of the bag. Lol. A few people can't see it and it may be because, and this is humbling, after you put the title in the search bar the book is not always at the top of the search results....there are usually two different tomato sauce sales ads and then the book...so scroll down...lol...also Amazon rolls books out in some markets more slowly than others Love to all...and lets keep this going! I am thrilled. This is your success too because you guys plugged it for me endlessly as I was getting my body parts examined for a plethora of doctors who had nothing else to do. Lol

@isabellaslink @sophielouisecc Would you like to swop? The ‘ludicrous’ amount I got this month for ‘sitting around’ was £246.00. You too could ‘sit around’ in the chemo ward like I do and dream of the time you worked so hard- when you get stage 4 cancer, then you will really know what struggling is.

Many of us are at work today on a bank holiday, knowing full well that people on benefits have just got a bonus of £6000. I would have to work around 500 hours to get an extra 6k - they don’t have to do anything Why do we even bother

@charmai82132528 @GMB @PaulBrandITV @kategarraway Is that the same woman who said older people who don’t have the Covid vaccine should be left at home to die if they get Covid? That pargon of virtue? Not much support for suffering then was there?
