T O Elvis was dazzling, and anyone who watched his last race can’t be surprised he just did that. But hopefully this race serves as a needed inflection point around the lack of regulation of CAW wagering, because that was as egregious as you’ll see.

@CraigMilkowski We’ve been having conversations about how to refine the Projected Odds because CAWs no longer play double pools. Of course they realize that tools like this (imputed odds based on doubles) were tipping their hand.

T O Elvis had projected odds of 15-1 at DRF. Those used to work pretty well. They weren't perfect, but reasonable. Now they just get steamrolled by CAWs.

@HorseToWatch yes but when the ML is 30-1.. and you are putting your P5 tickets together... horse wins at 5-1.. is frustrating..

@erdistler The P3s are usually a better tell as to where the money will go, but the ML has no influence on how the computer teams bet.

Everyone knew ncaa tournament expansion to 76 was inevitable. Almost nobody wants it. Those trying to argue its merits are gaslighting you. I’ve written it many times — it’s a lousy development that contributes to the erosion of what makes college sports great.
