@ericMstrauss Great questions. Interim presidents don't carry weight. The AD's future isn't clear. Some regents are chipping in, but right now main communications run between coaches' agents and UM search firm, which also provides FOIA protection. Who gets final say is an open question here.

JUB: I know nobody knows anything, but who is running this search? At least these early stages? Who reaches out to whom? I suspect the candidates don't talk directly - agents earn their cut... but who reps UM in this type of situation? Hot seat Ward? A third party consultant Len Perna? Interim Pres? Acker/Denise/Kathy White? Who says - you know who might be good fit - go check if he's interested?
