@PawarBI I’m curious to see what notebooks in apps would actually look like. Is it just static/locked results that the user can view? Or does the user have ability to edit and/or run the notebook? Would I actually want end users running a notebook?

I am officially super excited about OrgApps in #MicrosoftFabric, especially the notebooks in Apps. 🚀This is the future, so many exciting possibilities and modalities to surface insights to users.

@eric_beery11 @zachrenwick you can also pin the PWA (progressive web app) to your taskbar. That is what I did. Also works excellently on the iPad or other tablets.

@JohnKutay (disclaimer, I haven’t listened to your podcast) 1. interview practitioners, as opposed to people with a product to sell 2. focus discussion on methods, not tools 3. expand outside the tech bubble (mfg, banking, insurance, etc.)

Looking for feedback...what are you looking for in a data podcast? I mostly invite hands-on operators and entrepreneurs with technical experience to tell their story, their vision, the art of the possible. What do you want from a data podcast that you listen to?

I'm continually surprised by how rare mental arithmetic skill is among technical people. It's about as hard to learn as riding a bike (ie not hard) and it puts first principles thinking on warp drive. With daily practice you can quickly get faster results than using a calculator even for complicated operations. It also greatly improves physical intuition. I see it as a kind of literacy.

@ajordannafa Also implies the existence of a reliable method of quantifying "productivity", which I've yet to see for many knowledge roles

@matsonj @alexkyllo They come up with the most hilarious buzzword salads in their ads. "Secure, traceable, LLM-agnostic, deterministic, hallucination-free, IP liability-free…”

@eric_beery11 It's a shame, really, that Microsoft decided to not ship .NET runtimes as part of Windows past .NET Framework 4.8.2... Perhaps we can create a self-contained build of TE3 that includes the .NET runtime. We'll investigate that. Stay tuned!

@eric_beery11 Well, I'm not quite a python guy. Plus in this case I might have to hand it over to someone from the business. For simple JSONs the approach is overkill, but to handle the Scanner API jsons, I kind of like it.

@GaugeRedundant @LongFormMath The Erdös one was the first one that popped into my head, but the way I always heard it he called children "epsilons" because epsilon sometimes stands for "small error"

REQUEST: I am looking for anecdotes/quotes about "famous mathematicians were people too." That is, I don't want stories about their math. I want stories about their friends, family, joy, grief, struggles, charity, humor, etc. Hoping for lots. Quotes/letters are ideal. Thank you!
