Super #ESH2024 session on interrelationship bw #obesity & #hypertension today with great presentations & just some 🔦below: 📍39 million children under age of 5 were overweight or obese in 2020 - @WHO 📍prevalence ⬆️ obesity globally over time 📍major contribution to kidney dysfunction with fat deposits identified 📍non-pharmacological modalities ⬇️ SBP but on their own not sufficient & medication required

We have crisis in our hospital EDs 😞 My dear brother cant seem to get a break from health challenges & has managed to tear his biceps 🥲 He had to wait 5 hours to be seen & by the time he was seen the sonographer had left for the day & he was sent home & asked to return for imaging on Wednesday☹️ Today he was told they didnt have a slot for him😞 May God give Harris strength since it brought me to tears 🙏
