not a huge fan of how mean everybody is nowadays

Birthing four healthy babies unassisted at home, leaving all 100% vaccine-free, breastfeeding, then later homeschooling them and never posting their faces online will always be my biggest flex in life because I protected them from some of the most corrupt systems in existence.

Star Wars was made for young teenage boys. But the idea that it's OK if Star Wars +only+ appeals to kids is +deeply flawed+. The original trilogy was something that appealed to the entire family. It wasn't Despicable Me and Minions where it's definitely quality children's programming, but adults have to hold their breath for 2 hours. Star Wars did that magical thing where it appeals to everyone in the family on their own level simultaneously. It wasn't dumbed down. When Star Wars is produced just to appeal to little kids or just to appeal to "mature" adults--it always fails.

I definitely get it. The preference of whether you want children going to school at 715 in daylight or dark is the issue. When they tried permanent daylight savings time in Florida we had at least 4 children killed because it was dark in the morning. It was deems a failure and reverse. If you've tried something in the past that didn't work, why would you try the exact same thing again? Isn't that the definition of insanity? Since we've tried permanent daylight savings time, why not try the other...which by the way is what it was before government started f'cking with time...like they don't have more important things to do. My vote is to just start repealing every dumb thing congress has f'd with for the last 100 years and go back to their original constitutional duties which has ZERO to do with messing with clocks.

The level of disdain Spencer Pratt has for the unhoused is disgusting. And if you’re fine with this kind of talk, I don’t want to know you. Josh Haskell: “What are your plans for the over 40,000 homeless people in Los Angeles?” Spencer Pratt: “Well, they’re not homeless. They’re drug addicts. Most of these people are addicted to fentanyl and meth… They are choosing to be on the streets because they want to do drugs. They don’t want rules. They don’t want to listen. They want to have animals to abuse.”

Millenials grew up in a booming economy with plenty of safe non-manual labor paper shuffling jobs. Collectively, they said “I’m too good for work!” and instead opted for 7 years of college & six figure debt. Now $6 coffee addictions prevent them from owning homes. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The whole “you only get x number of summers with your kids!” trope is sad. Just stop co-parenting with the government and you’ll get spring, autumn, and winter with them too!

It’s imperative that we revert to STANDARD, not Daylight time, for two reasons, one of which you may have never considered. You know the first: solar noon is closest to 12 o’clock all year. That means an equal number of hours before and after noon each day. This also means earlier sunrises which are significantly better for establishing a healthy circadian rhythm. The second reason is that nearly ONE THIRD of US counties are in the wrong timezone. A significant swath of the country isn’t only an artificial hour ahead because of daylight time… but TWO HOURS ahead of true solar time. Year-round daylight time, especially without recalibrating time zones, would establish this error permanently, affecting millions of Americans. We should be letting the Sun dictate the day the way God made it. Arbitrary, artificial tampering would be worse for us all. Fix the time zones and affix standard time.

This is the wrong way to do it. If you don’t like time changes, then what you want is Permanent Standard Time, *not* Permanent DST. Permanent DST was already tried in the 70s, and it failed so hard we changed it back — kids were going to school in the pitch black during winter!

Welp, there was a time not to long ago when football didn’t take place all summer. Kids were allowed to go on vacation, take a break, heck play summer basketball or baseball without having to worry about missing summer workouts.

It bums me out how many families have only two kids. It’s a pandemic! Do they really only believe they can only handle two? What’s up with that? I know the answer; it's a rhetorical question. I think it’s bordering on sin for a couple to limit themselves to having two children, for whatever reason. At best it’s a cliché. We’ve attended a goodly number of churches over the decades, and since I’ve become a full-on natalist it distresses me how many families have two children. I’m not saying all Christian families have to go old school and have ten kids like our ancestors, but as I told a young friend of mine recently and my daughter as well, you will never, ever regret having more children. You get to bring more image bearers of God into the world, and into eternity, to love and nurture and raise. So, young Christian couples, be fruitful and multiply! It’s not a suggestion.
