Inspiring. Indeed, at root, Concorde was killed because it was inspiring. "Hubristic". Yet perhaps the taboo against making hubristic, inspirational things is now beginning to be relaxed at last (Tesla, SpaceX, mRNA, LLMs…).

The creation of knowledge is inherently unpredictable. This means we cannot know ahead of time *where* any idea (good or bad) might come from. In particular we can never know *who* will improve or damage things. And bad ideas are refuted by argument, not suppression.

Free speech as an ideal is a necessary precondition for communicating errors & their potential corrections. Regulation slows that process.

@paulg Secured liabilities are bad because it leaves no margin of safety. Revenue based financing however is unsecured and moves in unison with startup performance. It’s a much more useful tool to fund recurring Opex that have measurable ROI (marketing) and extend runway
