Takeaways from today's elections — starting with Indiana, where Republican voters proved it's still Trump's party, plus stops in Ohio, where the stage is set for a big November, and Michigan, where a Democrat again overperformed in a special election. cnn.com/2026/05/05/pol…

There are good people in these Indiana Senate primaries that just lost their way on accountability. That’s not Greg Goode. He’s just a historically terrible person.
Rileigh Simon@Rileigh_Simon

State Sen. Greg Goode (@gregoryjgoode) called Isaac Wright’s employer at local car dealership in Terre Haute and tried to pressure executives into firing him for speaking out on the redistricting. This is an abuse of power and not what the taxpayers of Terre Haute want. This proves the type of leader you are and shows Indiana you are not good for the community. Let Isaac have his free speech without recourse! @TPAction

@cbbinsiderszn @DuragRebel Yeah this is a huge issue, another constant headache is that most brands’ fitting carts are terrible. Like — have some speed, but deliver low dynamic loft? Good luck finding a stout, 80-90g shaft at a reasonable length to try in a higher-lofted wood/hybrid to replace a 4 iron.

@DuragRebel Lot of money to pay when half of these fitters are not qualified to be fitting. Certainly can be beneficial but would spend the extra money to get someone that is widely acknowledged to know that they are doing

I don’t think people get fit for golf clubs enough. I think if you are a 12 handicap or better, you should be getting fit for every new club you buy. Different clubs work for different people, and for the price of new clubs nowadays it’s well worth the money to be sure you’re getting the best for your game.

Here's how Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith, who is aligned with Trump and campaigning with his endorsed candidates, framed the primaries: "Is it going to be the party of the Bushes, or is it the Make America Great Again, America First agenda party?"

Five months ago, Indiana Republican legislators withstood pressure from President Donald Trump and rejected his urgent political demands. Now there are signs here on the ground that GOP voters may be poised to do the same. cnn.com/2026/04/26/pol…

@JR_HIRSHey @Titleist @Fully_Equipped Do you know when we'll get to see the specs of the whole FW lineup? Very curious to see whether Titleist has added anything else new, like the GTS3 7W. A GTS2 9W, for example, might make some sense.

We’ve seen teases of them ever since the GTS drivers got out on Tour three weeks ago, but now Titleist is officially beginning seeding of the new GTS2 and GTS3 fairway woods at the RBC Heritage and JM Eagle Championship. We’ve already seen a few of these in action the last couple weeks and Johnny Keefer and Cam Young both used a a GTS3 7-wood at Augusta. Really notable that it appears both the GTS2 and GTS3 have horizontal CG adjustable weighting through weight ports in the heel and toe. CG adjustability seems to be a theme with the GTS line even more so than GT. GTS2 has that shallow high launch profile, not unlike a more compact GT1 to my eye. While GTS3 is deeper faced and shorter front to back. Excited to learn more about these and see who puts them in play this week!

Other cool TM fairway note is that Jason Day (Stealth 7-wood) and Matt Fitzpatrick (Qi35 7-wood) are both using 3w-5w-7w gappings in their bags without 4-irons. Other TM players who have four woods and no 4-iron in the bag this week like Fleetwood (MD-5w-9w) or Casey Jarvis (MD-4w-7w) have slightly larger gappings. TaylorMade's Adrian Rietveld told us there's nothing crazy about the specs of the 7-woods. They're a touch shorter, but when the players need to cover a 4-iron distance, they're just trying to hit higher, more floaty shots. Fleetwood's 9-wood, at 22.5 degrees, isn't actually all that far off a 7-wood anyway. The 7-wood versatility basically makes it like it's too clubs in one.

A change to Wyndham Clark's bag this week as he added a TaylorMade Qi4D Tour 3-Wood with a Project X Titan shaft to match his Qi4D driver. It's one of 79 TaylorMade fairway woods in the field and he was one of 23 of the top 32 players on the leaderboard after the first round in a TM fairway wood. That includes six of the top-eight. Rory McIlroy returned to his Qi10 3-wood this week but still has his Qi4D 5-wood.

@JR_HIRSHey @Titleist @Fully_Equipped Dying to see a side-by-side comparison of the GTS3 7W and the 2 model (either current GT2 or GTS2) 7W. I feel like GTS3 7W might end up being the best new club of the year. (I'm also looking forward to Fully Fit bag updates!)

Justin Thomas was indeed one of three players to add Titleist's GTS driver to the bag this week. He has a new GTS2 9.0 with the Diamana ZF shaft (pictured). Also moving to GTS was Dustin Johnson (GTS2 10.0) and Cameron Smith (GTS3 10.0, pictured). Cameron Young also swapped out his GT1 hybrid for a GTS3 7-wood to get even more height out of it. JT made one additional change this week, going to a Vokey WedgeWorks 60L lob wedge, which is kind of an in between option of his two 60T and 60K* gamers.

Rory either: - cleared all his masters trauma and is going to spend this weekend tearing everyone limb from limb or - cleared all his masters trauma and is going to spend this weekend developing a whole new kind of trauma kinda sick outcome either way

@PGAPappas @CallawayGolf Use whatever shafts you like! I just mentioned Axioms’ availability directly from Ping and Callaway to help explain my interest in those heads.

First time out with the new Callaway Quantum Max irons this morning and you start trusting less club pretty quickly. Really, really long. What impressed me even more is how steep landing angles are. More like players iron steep than game improvement steep. (Will get to sim to confirm). And maybe the biggest advantage of these irons is how enormous the sweet spot is. Might be the largest of any game improvement irons I’ve hit. Incredibly consistent distances and windows in misses. (Again I’ll get to sim soon for spin, launch, and dispersion numbers). When I take these indoors would you like to see any comparisons? Quantum Max vs. Titleist T350, vs. TaylorMade Qi Max, vs. Mizuno JPX 925 Hot Metal, other?

@PGAPappas @CallawayGolf Oh no, I get that! Just interested in the heads from your perspective. I just know D4 and Axiom 105X is the combo that works for me, and most OEMs won’t take specific swing weight requests and don’t offer Axioms.

@ericbradner @CallawayGolf When I compare irons it’s usually at CC using their heads so I can use same shafts for testing. Have different shafts in Quantum Max and i540. Probably won’t use Axiom as there are 3 or 4 shafts, steel and graphite that just seem to fit my swing and misses better.

@engineeringolf I like this but I’m sort of confused. Positioning low spin and MOI on opposite ends of the spectrum makes sense, but something like the G440 K becomes a weird fit, since it definitely spins less than G440 Max and SFT.

Current driver lineup for the 4 big brands. Each model intentionally aligned 1-5. Tap & hold to load 4k. I’m working on launching the Gear Guide site that will serve this & more. Stoked to see the enthusiasm for it. For now, I can answer your comparison Qs in comments & DMs.
