Russia has attacked cars and shops in Odesa using drones. According to local media, there are injuries. Yesterday, Russian terrorists stated at the UN that they would never attack civilians. We know—Russians always lie.

This week, I prepared a special letter addressed to the President of the United States and to Congress. And yesterday, the letter was officially delivered to the institutions in Washington. It is quite rare for the leader of another state to address both the President and Congress of the United States simultaneously with a letter. But the situation now requires action, swift and effective action. It is important that America hear Ukraine. We understand that much of the world’s attention is currently focused on the war in Iran. But the war here in Europe must also be brought to an end – a very bloody war that is already in its fifth year at full scale. The sooner we are able to provide greater protection against ballistic threats, the sooner we will be able to make diplomacy work. As long as Russia continues to rely on missiles, its interest in diplomacy is not real. We must correct this. And we can do so only together with America. Ukraine is grateful to America for all its support. And Ukraine will be even more grateful for a dignified peace and guaranteed security. All of this is possible – if there is sufficient determination.

Russia murders children, targets schools & churches, and kills civilians. Ukrainians courageously continue fighting for their families and nation against this evil. The horrific attacks against Ukraine continue as Russia is losing its invasion. These evil perversions must never be normalized. War criminal Putin’s Russia is fundamentally anti-life at any cost, including more than a million sent to die in Ukraine for a lie. Supporting Ukraine is to support life, sovereign borders, and decency. apple.news/Ag895K0EYToSP_…

Kasparov: Fifth year of the war, Putin still gets components from the free world despite 20 sanctions packages. Russian missiles killing Ukrainians are made with sanctioned parts. Strangle him: prosecute companies violating sanctions and deplete his resources. 1/

Since last night, first responders and all necessary services have been working wherever needed. As of now, at least 83 people have been confirmed injured since midnight. Tragically, there are fatalities. My condolences to the families and loved ones. It was a heavy attack – 90 missiles of various types, many of them ballistic missiles – 36 in total. There were 600 drones. Unfortunately, not all of the ballistic missiles were intercepted – the largest number of hits was in Kyiv. Kyiv was the primary target of this Russian attack. Putin can’t even pronounce the word “hurrah” clearly anymore – slurs and mumbles – yet he is still vanquishing residential buildings with his missiles. Launched three Russian missiles against a water supply facility. Burned down a market. Damaged dozens of residential buildings. Hit several ordinary schools. Launched his “Oreshnik” against Bila Tserkva. They really are unhinged. It is important that this does not pass without consequences for Russia. Today, everyone in the world who will not stay silent and chooses to help Ukraine is a defender of life. It is critically important to continue working to secure air defense for Ukraine, especially anti-ballistic capabilities. We are doing our best to achieve peace and protect people – everything. It is important that Ukraine is not alone. Decisions are needed – from the United States, from Europe and others – to make that old “Oreshnik” in Moscow finally utter the word “peace.”

The moment of one of today’s Russian strikes on Kyiv. I can see that fewer and fewer people are reading news from Ukraine. I understand that on a Sunday morning, people don’t want to read about war. They want to sleep a little longer, drink good coffee, and sit in the sun. I understand that. The algorithms on X limit content about war, destruction, and suffering. You have to make an effort to even see this information. All of this is understandable on a human level. But unfortunately, if you remove Putin and the war from your information feed, they do not disappear from reality. Putin is a sadist and a maniac. He is a threat to all of humanity. There needs to be active resistance. News from Ukraine needs to be shared. People need to keep their focus. Despite a sleepless night, I’m still here. And I’m grateful to everyone who continues to stand with us. One day, we’ll drink morning coffee together in a beautiful, peaceful Kyiv.

55 Russian missiles and 549 drones were intercepted or suppressed over Ukraine overnight. In addition, 19 Russian missiles likely failed to reach their targets, Ukraine’s Air Force added, noting that the information is still being clarified. According to preliminary data, impacts from 16 missiles and 51 drones were recorded across 54 locations, while falling debris was reported at 23 locations. 📹 Kyiv this morning

This week, the Russians launched more than 3,170 attack drones, over 1,300 guided aerial bombs, and 74 missiles of various types, most of them ballistic, against Ukraine. There were many hits on residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure. Unfortunately, 52 people were killed as a result of attacks this week. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Another 346 people were affected and injured, including 22 children. Our people need more protection, and everything that supports Ukraine’s air defense ultimately helps save lives. That is why the PURL initiative and additional contributions for anti-ballistic missiles are critical. And it is equally important to work in Europe on joint protection against ballistic missiles. We must be self-sufficient in defense so that Russian aerial terror cannot threaten Ukraine or any other country on the continent. I am grateful to all of our partners who have taken concrete steps to support our defense.

Could you imagine the international uproar if Ukraine spent 15 hours sending 1500 missiles and drones into population centers all over Russia, mainly into apartment buildings, killing 15 people, including children? Russia just did this, and no one cares, especially the White House.

It was a Kh-101 missile that struck a residential building in Kyiv, according to preliminary data. The missile was manufactured in the second quarter of this year. This means Russia is still importing the components, resources, and equipment necessary for missile production in circumvention of global sanctions. Stopping Russia’s sanctions evasion schemes must be a genuine priority for all our partners.

When I retired from chess to help launch the pro-democracy movement against Putin in 2005, I was told that politics isn’t like chess, it’s all gray area. But in some things, like the fight between good and evil in Ukraine, it’s black and white. My speech at the Tryzub Gala:

“The war in Ukraine is like chess: it’s black and white. Anyone who can’t tell you who is good and who is evil there is willfully blind.” Recently, @Kasparov63 accepted the Friend of Ukraine award at the Tryzub Awards Gala. Read his speech: thenextmove.org/p/what-i-told-…

A rescue operation is currently underway in Kyiv at the site of a Russian drone strike on a nine-story residential building – an entire section of the building has been completely destroyed. Dozens of people have been rescued. Tragically, one person has been killed. My condolences to their family and loved ones. People may still be trapped under the rubble. Overnight, the Russians launched more than 670 attack drones and 56 missiles against Ukraine. Ballistic, aeroballistic, and cruise missiles were used in the strikes. The main target of this attack was Kyiv. There is damage at twenty locations across the city – ordinary residential buildings, a school, a veterinary clinic, and other purely civilian infrastructure. Destruction has also been reported in the Kyiv region, while similar terrorist strikes targeted energy infrastructure in Kremenchuk, as well as port and residential areas in Chornomorsk. In total, since midnight yesterday, Russia has used more than 1,560 drones against our cities and communities. These are definitely not the actions of those who believe the war is coming to an end. It is important that partners do not remain silent about this strike. And it is equally important to continue supporting the protection of our skies. The PURL initiative is needed so that Ukraine can defend itself against ballistic strikes like these. And likewise, in the interests of everyone seeking peace, pressure on Russia must continue. I thank everyone who stands with Ukraine.

The International Criminal Court has issued arrest warrants for Putin and his accomplices in the abduction of Ukrainian children. This is a global case – and it must have global consequences. Everyone who commits crimes against children must truly feel that this is wrong. Today, we have new sanctions against those who abduct children and try to normalize it. And the pressure on Russia must not ease. Sanctions work. And the world has power. Please use it right. From an address to the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children (3/3).

A trillion sophisticated-sounding words instead of admitting the most obvious fact: the policy of painfully and artificially restricting military aid to Ukraine in hopes of “avoiding escalation” and “making Putin come to his senses” was catastrophically wrong, deeply misguided, and irresponsible. It only gave the aggressor advantages, time, and the protection to fully mobilize its war machine for a long-term war.
