Florida Democrats have officially FLIPPED one state House seat as a Republican did not qualify for HD-47. This means we are one step closer to ending the Republican supermajority in the state legislature. Several seats in Central Florida are considered the most competitive in the state and only lost by slim majorities in 2024. The campaign had a busy day yesterday! I got to start my day at the @OrangeDemsFL mayoral forum. Then I met up with @MaxwellFrostFL to speak to voters. I ended the day by meeting Avalon residents at Absolutely Avalon.

I worked on bringing affordable housing to Orange County for 8 years. Legislators in Tallahassee blocked it with SB 180. Effectively nullifying the ability to build new housing. There’s never been a more important time in history for housing. It’s time we speak up.
