I've seen people saying they might trim $AMD here... and I totally disagree. Many of the greatest investors in history will tell you that outperformance comes from letting your winners run. If a company is truly great, it will keep executing. Yes the stock has had a monster run recently, and might be due for a pullback, but the thesis is not broken at all. If anything we may just be getting started. The demand for AI isn't going anywhere. - Data centers can't be built fast enough - There is an ongoing CPU shortage - CPU demand will only increase as AI becomes more agentic - Hyper scalers are continually diversifying away from $NVDA GPUs - Each generation of AMD GPUs is becoming increasingly competitive - Management still has $20+ EPS guidance in place No one in 2022 could have imagined the run Nvidia would go on. Some probably took their gains and lived to regret it. I'm not saying AMD will have that kind of generational outperformance. It probably won't. The point is, the upside is often a lot higher than you realize for great companies.
