@OmegaTomHanks I see your point - but you have to understand that fighting games are *deeply* rooted in arcade culture. Players like Daigo & Tokido have been playing on stick for 25 years. They're not necessarily going to jump onto a new controller trend immediately.

@erikkmb I really don't think that's true or else it wouldn't have taken the better part of a decade for pro players to even entertain the idea of switching. Once Daigo and Tokido did though, everything changed. It was really difficult to find other leverless players for a while

A fascinating analogy to leverless in the FGC is two-handed bowling:
- Seen as a gimmick for years
- Someone gets good w/it (Jason Belmonte), then it becomes controversial
- Never banned so most young players use it now

So if you post fake news, it means there's insufficient evidence supporting your beliefs.

@davidmanheim @paulg I think most people don’t care, really. People post & share largely for selfish reasons (likes, RTS, etc.) Posting something that’s later debunked isn’t the end of the world the way it used to be - so people just care about what drives engagement.
