A heroic rat named Ronin helped detect over 100 land mines and other unexploded munitions in Cambodia.
I usually don't post about non-Japan news, but it's interesting that the rat seems to be named after the Japanese word for a masterless samurai (浪人).

🇰🇭 #Cambodia: A mine-detecting rat named Ronin has set a new world record for being the first rodent to detect over 100 land mines and other unexploded munitions. Ronin’s performance far surpassed the previous record set by another rat named Magawa, who was awarded a gold medal of heroism for finding 71 mines. Cambodia has long struggled with unexploded munitions in the wake of the country’s 20-year civil war, with an estimated four to six million munitions remaining. (via BBC)
