Farmers don’t like answering (or being asked) this question. Why? Because there are no on-farm animal welfare regulations for farmed animals—as much as the industry and government pretend otherwise. (Still waiting for a reply!)

Animal farms are like private victim zoos. Full of animals trapped in an unnatural environment who are not allowed to leave til they’re sold or killed, and there’s lots of great talk about these places—but ur not allowed 2go inside & check it out unless ur friends with the owner.

@svisone I didn’t say yes. I went quiet and sort of shut down for the remaining couple minutes and left class in silence and grief wondering how everyone could seem so unbothered. I mean the local chicken slaughterhouse here is an absolute nightmare. Pain. Blood. Suffering. “YES”? ...NO!
