As someone that used Discord for its own team for two years, I’m relieved we made the move to slack. Discord doesn’t notify you about channel messages, notifications from other servers are overwhelming, and a lot of people use it personally (it’s embarrassing seeing coworkers playing xbox on working hours)

Slack is for boomers. Why would any startup pay for Slack in 2024 when Discord is free, keeps your chat history, supports voice/video, AND powers community channels all in one place?
