Good lord. From some self anointed engineering expert, have you never been wrong in your career? If your answer is no, you are either lying or you have only done very basic entry level work solving low risk problems. He admitted he was wrong. It happens. Especially when you are rolling out such novel tech. I'm sure they tried and tried like hell. Especially considering all the clean up logistics they will have to do to upgrade HW3.
