When I was a younger believer, I really believed I knew a lot, I would hear senior ministers preach and tell myself I could deliver that sermon better, I would actually wish to get the mic and show them how it should be done.
Now, about 2 decades after, I see how foolish I was because even now after all the study and Pastoring, I see my need to grow more than I see my accomplishment, I study the same texts over and over again and I don’t feel like I have arrived. I see my need for more growth and development in my knowledge and my character.
So I have concluded that pride is the fruit of baby knowledge, it is immaturity on display, it says you know nothing more than it says you know anything.
So I say to myself, “relax, the journey is far”.
