Win or lose, I am ashamed of the United States of America. I have seen enough to make that statement confidently. Can this country pull out of what looks like a downward spiral? I'm optimistic. Why? Because the alternative is not acceptable for me to even think about. If we ever suspend our belief that we can prevail and fight to bring this country back to its former state of hope and optimism, that's when it's over. For that reason...as long as there is breath in me, I will work towards that goal.
