Essential Voice updates are rolling out 🗣️ Now faster and more accurate, with less waiting around. Customise Essential Key while using the keyboard. Choose long-press or double-press to transcribe in over 100 languages, or translate in over 70 languages. Set it up from Settings > Intelligence toolkit > Essential Voice > Customise Essential Key.

Hey @essential, new idea: Notification To-do I get a notification and I do a swipe left to see an option to add it to Essential Space with optional voice notes/text. And when I confirm, it sets a task or event based on the notification content without me ever opening the app.

Voice is becoming the new interface. Press the Essential Key to capture thoughts, set reminders, or turn speech into clear text.

Rolling out from today to all 2025–2026 Nothing and CMF phones that support the Essential Key. Update Essential Space from the Google Play Store, or turn on auto-update to get it automatically.

Essential Space now stays with you. Cloud storage keeps your notes, screenshots, voice captures, images, tasks and summaries backed up and synced through your Nothing account. So when you move to a new phone or reset your device, your Space comes with you.

Available now on Phone (3). Phone (4a) Pro will follow later this month, with Phone (4a) in early May.

Essential Voice auto-detects over 100 languages. You can also use regional variants like Latin American Spanish and Simplified Chinese.

Personal Mappings on Essential Voice let you create custom shortcuts for the phrases you use often. Things like names, links, addresses or inside jokes.

Better than basic transcription, Essential Voice removes filler words, cleans up small mistakes, and helps structure your thoughts into clearer writing. It can also format your speech into lists or step-by-step instructions when that fits what you're saying.
