Built an MCP server for my app store tracker, and linked it with Claude.
It's now able to answer basic questions by looking up the database.
Next up - intelligence layer.

Been vibe coding my SASI replacement over the weekend and deployed it on my hermes agent mini.
Storing:
- Ranking crawled from SASI
- Ranking for my tracked keywords
- Listing changes being made

Even if everyone is doing it, the main thing to see is how many are using public services for it. Those wont duplicate the load.
Individuals doing it like myself on my self hosted private service will only be doing it for the apps they want to track which matter to them.
Besides, we're talking about a company like Shopify who can handle a metric ton of traffic. I highly highly doubt this would even be a noticeable impact on their end.

True. Without knowing the exact algo no one will be able to come up with anything foolproof.
But the idea is to build something that can make the best possible guess on what moved the needle on a given keyword on any given day / period.
This is where I'm hoping my almost decade of experience on app store comes in handy

@eternerd building your own index because the upstream one is a black box is the right instinct. the intelligence layer is where it gets hard though, ranking signals decay fast and you'll want change history more than current state
