3) Longer discussion on “Tom” who somehow got preferential treatment to stay anonymous even though he is center of the incident and waived his anonymity by going on camera and waived it by posting himself on his public FB.
Eric Feigl-Ding@DrEricDing

Meet “Tom”—owner of the Texas bar that evicted a mask-wearing mom/dad with an immunocompromised baby—Tom ejected them for wearing a mask & refusing to take **off** masks. @CBSDFW reveals mom’s name, but won’t reveal Tom’s full name even though he instigated the incident. Unfair?

An utterly irresponsible Texas restaurant owner evicts a couple who wanted to wear masks in his restaurant (Hang Time Sports Grill & Bar in Rowlett, TX). The vaxxed husband & wife has an immunocompromised infant they were trying to protect. @NicoleNielsen

@DHStom @tedlieu Sadly there are many doctors here in the South that are recommending that their patients avoid the vaccine. I'm headed to a visitation tonight. Guy was 57, had type 2 diabetes, doctor said avoid the vaccine. Horrible.

If you’re unvaccinated, talk to your doctor about the benefits of vaccines. If you don’t have a doctor, read what doctor’s organizations like the American Medical Association have said. You don’t know how this virus will interact with your body. Don’t act like you do. Be humble.
Eric Feigl-Ding@DrEricDing

Virus doesn’t care about “beliefs”—a Florida Republican official who battled against mask mandates, attacked the vaccine, attacked Fauci, and railed at CDC… has died of #COVID19 just one day after positive test. His wife and daughter are also infected. thedailybeast.com/gregg-prentice…

@sarahzhang As a pharmacist in Texas, we just started (today) giving vaccines to people other than LTCFs. We now do 65 and up, BUT we also do below 65 with certain health conditions, and there is NO REQUIREMENT OF PROOF of those conditions. You can see where this is going.

@Laurie_Garrett Maybe the right answer is to “unopen” some things? This is like saying, “what we are doing now is causing a lot of problems, so let’s just keep doing that. Okay guys?”

BREAKING Gov Greg Abbott: - "The State of #Texas will pause any further phases to open" - "there is a massive outbreak of #COVID19 across Texas." - urged all Texans "slow the spread of COVID-19 by wearing a mask, washing their hands regularly & socially distancing from others."

@Laurie_Garrett Just last week he was saying that it's all good. Zero credibility. Good news, Tarrant County just mandated masks starting Friday.

Quit trying to scare people. Actually, only 27% of ICU beds at Texas Medical Center are #COVID19 patients and nearly all will recover. 70% of ICU beds are non-#COVID19 patients.
Senator John Cornyn tweet media
Gene Wu@GeneforTexas

We're at the edge of the cliff. After these next few days, we will not have enough beds to care for all of the incoming #COVID19 patients. Then people die. Unfortunately, Governor Abbott is still taking a wait and see approach. Waiting for local leaders to do his job for him.

@atrupar What is truly reprehensible here is the specter of his behavior being modeled throughout the broader population.

@AnandWrites Testing is overrated. Inequality is overrated. It's nice to know that anything that has a substantive influence on public and economic health outcomes is overrated.

@DonnaYoungDC @sbg1 Since this a prescription medication, I would be curious to know the current laws for the board of pharmacy in DC (unless he came by it elsewhere such as NY). TX, for example, only allows prescription under strict parameters.

Dear doctors -- how is Trump's White House physician allowed to prescribe this to him? Wondering what rules would govern a licensed doctor doing this at the order of the patient?

Fox News's Neil Cavuto is stunned by Trump's announcement that he's taking hydroxychloroquine: "If you are in a risky population here, and you are taking this as a preventative treatment ... it will kill you. I cannot stress enough. This will kill you."

@sbg1 @atrupar Age, gender and CV history all play a role in how risky this drug is to any one person. If one is thinking of "borrowing" their relatives hydroxychloroquine and feels that "it couldn't hurt", DON'T. It very well COULD hurt.

@sbg1 @atrupar The cardiovascular risks associated with this drug are also present with common antibiotics. So, can it kill? Yes. Is it common? Probably not. The reprehensible part is when his behavior is modeled throughout the broader population. Higher numbers = more unnecessary deaths.
