@MattKopnak Realistically if you Bring up Mrtka you go find a stud vet to pair him with. It saves you money (rookie contract) and fills a hole with a 6’6” 210 pound Right hander

Offseason Goals for Jarmo: -Make a legit addition to the top 6 without using Helenius. -Let Alex Tuch walk -don’t fall victim of sunk cost, get rid of Norris. -7 year extension for Benson that mirrors Doan’s -Proactive Ostlund extension -Let Ventura moneyball you a 3rd pair.

With the season coming to a close, I want thank everyone for another fun season. Definitely had its ups and downs, but the community on #mnwild Twitter is always strong. Appreciate everyone who followed, liked, commented, reposted or shared a tweet and especially appreciate those who tuned into to @WildlyInf0rmed! I hope you learned something new and that you enjoyed my players cards and stats and that those helped you enjoy the games more or see things a little differently. I’ll be active on here throughout the playoffs and through draft season, but definitely much less than in-season. Some offseason plans of mine include overhauling my player cards and evaluating stat weights, visuals, pictures, adding/removing/changing stats used and more, stay tuned for more on that! This was an incredible season for a #mnwild team that went from playoff bubble team in many preseason evaluations to a bonafide contender who knocked off a bonafide contender in Round 1 and lost to the NHL’s best in Round 2. A bright future and fun offseason lay ahead.

@LNDolbec @MikeBartner Wallstedt has a better save % and GAA. Dobes did not steal it at first, Montembault was simply horrible. I'm fine with Dobes being in front of Wallstedt but the gap is way too wide in the votes.

@ethsleeprepeat @MikeBartner Dobeš played more games, had more wins. Stole the #1 spot in Montreal. And he had an insane win percentage. Bigger impact all around.

Dubas is the most EGREGIOUS of course, but also no Tulsky is laughable especially considering the Canes swept the Sens in round 1. He signed Ehlers, traded for Miller, waiver claimed Bussi and they had 113 points. Also extending Stankoven and Blake for a 11.1M combined over 8 years.

Michael McCarron received a 2-game suspension in 2021 for an illegal hit to the head on Yanni Gourde. He was also suspended in the AHL for head butting his opponent after a fight Josh Manson has never been suspended in his NHL career

@B_Marsh92 @JBoatwater Hunt as been a standout for me. Nothing fancy but I feel like he has been good for the wild. (No idea what the fancy stats says but good to the eye test.)

@JBoatwater You gotta see if you can replace Brodin on pairing 2 and I could see a Hunt-Gustavsson-Nyberg potentially being an upgraded 3rd pairing

Whatever happens in this series the defensive depth has been exposed badly. We can't allow this 3rd pair to exist next season. Guerin has to improve it. If we bow out in the 2nd round this is a huge reason why

One Sunday afternoon some years ago, Michael McCarron took a beating in a fight with Providence's Justin Hickman. At the end, while the officials had both of Hickman's arms tied up, McCarron head butted Hickman and broke his nose. Guy knows dirty players

a conversation needs to be had with nelson and nichushkin. they let the team down last year and they’re getting dangerously close to doing it again this year. they’re supposed to be quality secondary scorers. not whatever this is
