Over time, designs of these lost Pokémon began to surface from various sources, including a manga published by Satoshi Tajiri and prototype data shared by Helix Chamber, which revealed back sprites from a near-complete internal Pokédex. Later, even more unused designs emerged through Gold & Silver beta leaks. Artist @RacieBeep reimagined what these Pokémon might have looked like if they had made it into the final games.
