I haven't seen the stage version, and I didn't even know much about the storyline, but #Wicked gets 4 out of 4 stars from me! It brought me close to tears on several occasions, and like a lot of powerful art, it speaks with great relevance to our times. Brilliant!

I first heard Tony Campolo speak when I was in high school. He was one of our best, pushing middle-class Christians to take seriously the massive abundance of Scriptures that clearly express God's tender heart for the most vulnerable members of society.

@danielsilliman @CTmagazine Thank you for the beautiful write-up of his life, Daniel. One thing that I'll also remember is how he partnered with Christian singer Steve Camp to form AIDS Crisis and Christians Today back in the 1980s. He pushed us in so many good ways toward Jesus.
