A dedicated session will highlight EUREMAP's innovative approach to improving the marine bioprospecting pipeline. Four consortium members will explain how the integration of European research infrastructures can drive breakthroughs in discovery and boost the blue bioeconomy.

Responding to the emerging needs of the blue economy sector and creating a marine bioprospecting innovation hub for the private sector requires close collaboration between researchers, industry and government.

By enabling cross-disciplinary research and experimental replication, the FAIRification of data will improve accessibility, contribute to dereplication and derisking, and expand the activities and services offered to support blue growth.

The harvesting of marine organisms for scientific research and analysis can have an impact on the environment, which is a challenge to sustainability that EUREMAP will address.
