Do voters who registered before 2012 need to register again? Only individuals who did not register in 2012 when the new Register of Voters (ROV) was established and have never registered under the biometric system are required to register afresh. The training featured practical sessions on social media data analysis where the participants classified real narratives on disinformation, hate speech & digital campaigning. It als a simulation of remote ESR operations & Developing Observation and Campaign Financing Tools

On Day 2 of the training, the focus was on transitioning from digital monitoring to field-based methodologies, including emphasizing Roving (Mobile) Observation, Incident Reporting, and strengthening the Election Situation Room (ESR) through practical workflow exercises.

Voter Registration Insights: Growth trends Though Nairobi recorded the highest absolute number of new voters in Week 2, counties like Nyeri and Migori registered higher percentage growth in new registrations. See the top performers in the table below: #EyesOnElections

On 10th October, IEBC reported a cumulative total of 20,754 newly registered voters for week 2 of Continuous Voter Registration (CVR). Using week one data of CVR, the total number of registered voters for week two is 13,706. See the breakdown below: #EyesOnElections

Bottom 10 Counties by Voter Registration Growth Week 2 saw declines in voter registration in some counties, while Tana River recorded no change. Other counties registered only marginal growth, and Nyamira, Garissa & Elgeyo Marakwet even recorded negative growth #EyesOnElections
