N6071H is back together. The engine swap is done. Run up tests were good and first flight complete. Extreme spread on cyl temps was maybe 30°. #4 will be low as that is a ring on spark plug. Prop needs a little adjusting but overall it's working perfect. Now time to break it in.

During the engine swap on the Turbo Arrow III I noticed some damage to the firewall from the heat coming off the Turbo. This seems to be a thing because I have seen other pics just like ours. So we had to get it repaired before putting the new engine in. The repair looks good so now we can move on with the install.

@airport_girl I've done Perth to London a few times, and also Dallas to Sydney a few times. In economy and also business. Yes, business is nicer, but it's definitely doable. Somehow most people have no problem sitting in front of a computer or TV for a day, but on a plane it's different.

As much as I love flying — still think these are seriously long flights. 🤯
