my solo SaaS, Conductor, which largely operates autonomously, has crossed $300k ARR and serves enterprise customers like Ramp. Conductor is a deeply niche product: it gives developers a clean API to integrate with a specific, archaic on-premises accounting platform used by hundreds of thousands of U.S. small and medium businesses. churn is nearly nonexistent. Conductor's customers have hard dependencies on this integration -- their end users run this accounting platform and need to sync financial data bidirectionally. there is no workaround. if you want to serve those customers, you need this integration. the hardest part of building Conductor was not the architecture -- it was the surface area of undocumented edge cases, silent bugs, opaque error codes, and connection and permissions issues that only surfaced through hundreds of live debugging sessions with real QuickBooks Desktop users. that institutional knowledge is now baked into the product. Conductor now grows linearly, adding roughly $1.5k MRR per month. i still ship one or two improvements per week and spend about two hours on customer support, though that number continues to decline as i iteratively tighten the product and documentation.

For those who used a computer between 1995 and 2001, what's the computer game from that time that sticks with you the most, and why

Today, Claude writes the majority of our iOS code, and every stability/performance metric is improved. Here's how we did it:
