Oaklawn Park: Race-9 Just watched some really Dangerous riding by Jockey John Jude on #-8. Entering the Stretch, he moves outside of #-10 ridden by Ramon Vazquez. John June hits his horse right-handed turning his horse left into the Hind end of #-10. Ramon Vazquez turned his head to the right as to yell or tell June something. Then sudden John June hits his horse Right-handed again and totally cutting off Ramon Vazquez horse. This was Crazy, very Dangerous by this Rider. #OaklawnPark @OaklawnRacing @3coltshandicap

Starting to think our horses are picture shy… 7 seconds from last 12 starters. This one was a tough one! This filly is so game and tries every single time. She loves the grass and even though she’s tiny, she loves the route of ground. 💙

The @OaklawnRacing 2025-2026 Stakes Calendar is out! A record 62 stakes races will be offered. -One highlight: The G2 Fantasy purse has increased to $1,000,000 while the G3 Honeybee has increased to $750,000. Both offer points to the Kentucky Oaks. -Six new overnight stakes races have been added to the calendar. “In an Oaklawn first, the 2025-2026 season introduces a three-week gap in its schedule. A “Holiday Meet” runs Dec. 12 - Jan. 4, with at least one stakes race per day. A four-day schedule will resume Jan. 30 - May 2. And, in another Oaklawn first, the Rebel Stakes card - which also features the Honeybee (G3) - is scheduled for Sunday, March 1, which will mark the first time the premier race is intentionally set for that day of the week.”

I flew to New Orleans and handed my "Big Apple" research to the Fair Grounds. In over 30 years, the black stablehands have still never been honored, not with an apple sculpture or a plaque. On the 100th anniversary, not even a "Big Apple" tweet! 3/3
