MY CANADA EXPERIENCES WESTERN UNIVERSITY Western university, one of the top universities in Canada had organized Africa day and yours truly was one of the speakers. Amb @kajik5566 gave a fantastic speech and mine was to explain why Uganda is a must visit before one dies. The high commission pushed me hard to come and now see why it was important. Most of the audiences don’t realize I have been giving these talks for many years because they get so surprised, I have facts and figures on my head. After my talk yesterday, my whole table was like you have made us want to book tickets to Uganda now. Of course you see God in these things. Last week while talking to military attaches one said you prepared so well and you must be a naturally gifted person, I actually hadn’t.

Earlier today, the President of the Republic of Uganda officially launched the 10th edition of the Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo (#POATE2026) today at Speke Resort Convention Centre, Munyonyo – Kampala. The three-day expo runs from 21st to 23rd May 2026. Speaking at the event, the President described Uganda as one of the world's most unique tourism destinations, citing the country's favourable climate, rich cultural heritage, peace, and natural beauty as key attractions. On Ebola, he assured both locals and international visitors that there is no reason for alarm. He noted that the government is implementing targeted measures and continuing to work scientifically to keep people safe while keeping the economy fully open. As Uganda progresses towards upper-middle-income status, the President promised improvements to the overall tourism experience, including more visitor-friendly visa arrangements designed to attract more tourists. #Wanderlust |#ExploreUganda
