I really, really struggle to see what City have seen in Anderson.
If he was going to play under Pep, perhaps a different story.
But I see nothing to suggest he’s close to being elite.

People cannot speak honestly or without bias. And it’s tiresome.
Spence knew what he was doing. It wasn’t a natural movement. And it wasn’t a penalty. Opinions would be different if at the other end.

Bemusing that stepping across the defender and protecting the ball is not awarded as a foul now if the defender knocks you over from behind. I am so glad that this didn't impact the result. Outstanding bit of play from Spence!

@BowkerStu He’s trying to win a penalty, simple as that. You can’t just put your leg in front of defenders and expect them to stop dead and not carry on running. Kane, Vardy & Gordon to name a few have been exploiting the poor officiating in falling for it for years. A great decision

This is where people that make the laws and enforce the laws that have never played football come unstuck! Spence is goalside of his defender he knows he’s coming across to to get a nick on the ball so he puts his leg across to shield the ball and the defender clatters him from behind yes Spence creates the contact but what’s he supposed to do just let the defender tackle him?? It’s actually very intelligent forward play! But yet again it’s all about opinions some of you will agree with me some of you won’t! So is that a clear and obvious error from the referee? VAR re refereeing games as per usual 🙄🙄🙄🙄

@evertonisam @johnmerro1 Just don’t think there’s enough there to overturn once it’s been given. It’s not a dive. Contact is there. For an overturn I’m not sure it should matter how it came about.

He’s not looked properly on it for two seasons now. Should been rotated out with Keane and had O’Brien as first choice CB, especially after Branthwaite’s injury. Another blind spot from Moyes that’s cost us this season.
